UPDATE (10:40 A.M.): Highway 58 is now open in both directions, according to CHP.
SR-58 now OPEN in both directions! Traffic is backed up in the area but should clear soon.

UPDATE (10:24 A.M.): Westbound Highway 58 is now open with CHP escorting traffic, according to CHP.
Eastbound 58 and Interstate 5 remain closed.
CHP said that 90% of the I-5 is deiced and sanded.
Interstate 5 remains closed this morning, along with Highway 58 over the Tehachapi pass.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Grapevine could remain closed until approximately 10 a.m. Detour possibilities include northbound 101 out of Los Angeles, westbound Highway 126 to northbound 101, and highway 166 to northbound 101.
Caltrans reported Hwy. 58 is closed over the Tehachapi pass. CHP said there is no expected time of reopening at this time.
