BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The American Hockey League has confirmed its start date for the 2021 season as February 5 and that's when the Bakersfield Condors officially drop the puck on a season after not having played a game since March 2020.

Ryan Holt, Director of Media Relations and Broadcast for the Condors, discussed the new-look season and some of the challenges for the organization ahead of this COVID-19 season.

He also talked about the impact the Condors have had with their NHL affiliate, Edmonton Oilers, over the years as they start their season Wednesday night with 13 former players on their active roster or taxi squad.
