BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Ridgeview Wolf Pack is chasing their second straight state championship this Saturday.

A year ago the boys cross country team brought Bakersfield its first state championship in the sport and following the team's third straight valley championship, this team is eager to bring home another state title.

And the team credits its ability to handle adversity and closeness to their consistent success.

"Our coaches they've really instilled in us that it's a family and we need to run for each other," senior Payton Fox said.

"I'm just so happy what we have done the past three years ," Ased Adus said. "Going to state with more confidence from the experience we had before."
