BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — North High School head football coach has resigned, according to the school's athletic director, A.J. Shearon.
Shearon said Norm Brown turned in his resignation on Monday after coaching for the school's varsity football team for four seasons, including leading his teams to back-to-back South East Yosemite League championships.
In a released statement, the school shared that they are grateful for Brown's service as a coach.
The team's assistant coach, Richie Bolin, will step up as an interim for the remainder of this season.
Brown will still be a teacher at the school, Shearon confirmed.
