BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Condors hit the ice this week to prepare for their first appearance in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
After a record-setting season that included a 17-game win streak, the Condors under new head coach Jay Woodcroft have been able to find the right chemistry and mindset to end the regular season on top of the Pacific Division and leading the Western Conference.
"Our vision as a coaching staff was to put together a team that was connected to each other and that played hard for each other whose care about each other on and off the ice ran marrow deep and we've seen that come to fruition this year," Woodcroft said.
The Condors will be making their first playoff run since reaching the final in ECHL in 2014 opening up in five game series against the Colorado Eagles beginning on Friday in Colorado.
