BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Cal State Bakersfield 'Runners hit the wrestling mat for the first time this season. Head coach Manny Rivera is entering season four with CSUB and is setting the bar high for his guys.
"I really see us as a much better team than last year," he said. "I really believe that we have some All-Americans this year."
The "Runners begin their season on the road in Minnesota on Nov. 1. They'll take on the Golden Gophers, a team that Rivera spent two seasons with as a graduate assistant.
The first opportunity to see the team at home will come on Nov. 16 at the Icardo Center when they face Rutgers.
