The Bakersfield College women's volleyball team opened up the SoCal Regional Championships with a sweeping victory, beating Mt. San Jacinto 3-0.

This was the Renegades 19th sweep on the season and 18th straight win.

Leading the way for BC was Lanie Camarillo with 12 kills and Penelope Zepeda with 10. Jessica Merante added 19 digs on defense.

BC is onto the second round of the CCCAA Women's Volleyball playoffs and will face San Diego Mesa on Saturday.
