BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The LaBelle Developmental Football League, which was formerly known as the LCFL, is looking to launch a team in Kern County with the goal of "giving young men the opportunity to strengthen their gameplay while acquiring the necessary game film to graduate to the next level of paid professional football."
The Kern Oilers will be one of ten teams competing in the league's West Division. Other teams include the 805 Bears, Inglewood Blackhawks, San Diego Silverbacks, Santa Clarita Tigers, SoCal Apaches, and West Coast Lions.
The Oilers will be holding a players' orientation meeting on Thursday, November 7th at Rusty's Pizza on Ming Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Interested players should be at least 18 years of age and should bring a valid ID or drivers license.
