In our FNL Game of the Week, East topped Chavez in the final minutes of the game by a final of 24 to 20.
In what was a defensive standout, the Wasco Tigers dropped one to the North Stars 22 to 8.
The Bakersfield Christian Eagles got a big win over a team that gave Garces Memorial trouble earlier this year. They got the road win 37 to 28.
On Thursday Night, the Liberty Patriots took on the Buchanan Bears in a rematch of the 2018 CIF D1 Semi-Finals. The Bears got their revenge 19 to 17.
Bakersfield High was looking for their first home win of the season against Ridgeview. The Drillers were able to ring the "victory bell" at home for the first time in 2019 with a 24 to 21 victory.
