2019 Friday Night Live: Week Two

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Friday Night Live is back for week 2 of the regular season. With Kern County teams playing everywhere from Fresno to Monache to right here in Bakersfield, we had you covered.

Liberty High Schooltraveled to Ridgeview High Schoolin our FNL: Game of the Week. Despite Justin Hinzo's Player of the Week Performance in week one, the senior QB wasn't able to get it going in time for the Wolf Pack and the Patriots took it by a final of 21-13.

The Bakersfield High School Drillerstraveled to the mountains to take on Tehachapi High School. After a slow start for the offense, BHS turned it on and won 49-20.

Bakersfield Christian High Schooltook to the road to take on Central Valley Christian. After a big week one win against Garces, the Eagles kept flying high, taking this one 36-0.

North High Schoolwas looking for their first win against Golden Valley High School. Norm Brown's Stars didn't disappoint and picked up a huge 38-14 win.

The Kennedy High School Thunderbirds won the Valley title last year, and if the beginning of this season is any indication of last, they might be back. Mira Montestruggled against the powerhouse, getting dominated 62-0.

TheFoothill Trojans were on the hunt for their first win in over two years. Taking on the Arvin Bears, it took a 4th and goal touchdown and 2-point conversion but Foothill got it done and picked up the dub 14-13.
