BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Cal State Bakersfield baseball team added a former major leaguer to its coaching roster as Mike Kinkade joins the team during fall ball.
Head Coach Jeremy Beard introduced Kinkade this week, bringing a familiar face to Bakersfield as these two have known each other since high school.
Kinkade is bringing a wealth of experience to the 'Runners having spent 14 seasons in professional ball and seven years as a coach.
This will be Kinkade's first experience coaching at the collegiate level but he will be relying on his relationship with Beard and the trust he has in the players to help bring more success to the program.
