BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Interscholastic Federation and Section Commissioners will meet on June 9 to determine a "drop-dead date" and to determine when and how to start the 2020-2021 athletic season.
The news was tweeted out by the Kern High School District on Thursday evening. At this meeting, it should be decided if there will be a Fall sports season, and if so, how it will be held and when.
23ABC News spoke with Highland High School head football coach Michael Gutierrez before this news came out about returning to the gridiron under a revised season format. That interview is in the video listed above.
