BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Cal State Bakersfield men's basketball team hosted a future Big West opponent, UC Santa Barbara, on Tuesday night at the Icardo Center. Neither team led by more than six points during the game that also featured seven lead changes and nine tied scores, but the Gauchos would hold off the 'Runners to win by a final of 64-60.
Junior transfer guard Czar Perry led with a game-high 23 points and while normally coming out on top in the battle of the boards, the Gauchos out rebounded with three more than CSUB.
The 'Runners will head to Head Coach Rod Barnes alma mater as a player and coach next, playing the Ole Miss Rebels on the road on Saturday.
