BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — 21 girl's basketball teams and 19 boy's teams from Kern County have made the CIF Central Section playoffs.
Bakersfield High School received the best news out of any school on Saturday as they learned that both of their teams were seeded number one overall in Division 1. The boy's Bakersfield Christian High School team was the only other squad to be ranked number one, they play in Division 3.
The first round of games will be played Tuesday, Feb.18 and Wednesday, Feb. 19. There will be five games in which Kern County schools will face each other in the opening round.
