BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The COVID-19 pandemic has left many people frustrated and helpless, so 23ABC has dedicated ourselves to helping individuals and businesses to 'Rebound' in this new job market.
A national security agency is hosting a virtual career fair on Thursday, May 21st, for the first time, to fill jobs in Bakersfield and the entire state of California.
Securitas Security Services is looking to hire for 20-to-30 positions in the Bakersfield area and a total of 1,200 in California.
It's a departure from old hiring practices, as Securitas moves everything on line, in order to maintain safety procedures for it's applicants and employees.
Kimberly Carson, V.P. of Human Resources in the Pacific Region, said the virtual interview process at the career fair should take about 15-20 minutes.
There is an on-line training school, video interviews, job offers and more, all in this new virtual world.
You can take part by texting the word, 'ATTEND' to 844-980-3282 and you will be provided with a link to take part in the career fair.
If you can't make it to the fair, you can apply at securitasinc.com/join-us if you'd like to fill out an application.
The Virtual Career Fair runs from 8:30am until 12:30pm on May 21st, with a drive-thru event happening in select cities in California on Tuesday, May 26th.
