Supreme Court could rule on Trump, abortion and social media on Thursday

Some big decisions to watch for include those on abortion, social media and former President Donald Trump.

The Supreme Court is entering its final few weeks of the term, but nearly half of the cases heard by the high court are still unresolved.

Some opinions are expected to be released Thursday and Friday.

One of the major cases that could affect the upcoming presidential election is a decision on former President Donald Trump.

The justices will weigh if the former president is immune from criminal prosecution in the election interference case against him.

"I feel that as a president, you have to have immunity, very simple,” Trump has said.

Another case on the docket is access to the abortion drug mifepristone.

Opponents want the Supreme Court to roll back changes made by the Food and Drug Administration that have made it easier to obtain the drug.

"It’s going to really upend the process by which we decide what medications are safe and what medications people have access to,” said Harry Nelson, health care attorney and managing partner at Nelson Hardiman.

Another key decision: Should social media giants like Facebook and X have free rein on how they regulate users' content?

Conservatives accuse the companies of censoring their political views.

The justices are set to issue all of their opinions by late June or early July.

Some will be released around 10 a.m. on Thursday, but it is not known which cases those will be about.
