BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Coronavirus pandemic has forced the cancellation or closure of most events here at home, and around the world, so people had to get creative to make sure their moments weren't forgotten.
Historic Union Cemetery was not going to cancel their annual Memorial Day ceremony, so veterans, lawmakers and volunteers gathered to ensure the somber remembrance still took place this year.
Organizers released a pre-recorded ceremony put together by Union Cemetery, Jesse Portillo of Poryecta Media and hosted by 23ABC's Mike Hart.
