WASCO, Calif. (KERO) — Cal/OSHA has issued fines against a number of state prisons for violating COVID-19 safety regulations including Wasco State Prison.

According to documents, the prison did not ensure that each person who was assigned the use of an N-95 respirator was fit-tested to help protect against the exposure to COVID-19.

Cal/OSHA also levied a fine of more than $420,000 against San Quentin for its COVID-19 safety violations.
