CULVER CITY, Calif. — Several officers from the Culver City Police Department were recognized for their role in saving a child that was choking.

Pictures were taken of Officers Banda and Simon at a city council meeting.

The officers went into an apartment building where they found a child choking inside a bedroom. They took the child from his distraught mom and pounded on the boy's back to clear his throat, saving his life.

During the council meeting, the boy was reunited with his heroes
