U.S. prisoners return from North Korea

Posted

President Trump announced on Twitter Wednesday morning that Secretary Pompeo is on the way back from North Korea with three American detainees.

After years of being detained and forced into hard labor Pompeo met with Kim Jung Un Tuesday negotiating the U.S. prisoners release.

President Trump said he appreciated Kim Jung Un's decision and that, "It represents something very important to this country." He did not release information on where his future meeting with Kim Jung Un will take place, but there has been a lot of speculation in the political sphere that it will likely take place somewhere in Asia at a neutral territory.

The detainees are scheduled to arrive in Washington D.C. at 2 a.m. eastern time and President Trump said he will be there to welcome them home.
