BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Friday night was a night to get moving and grooving as two local musical groups took the stage at the Bakersfield Fox Theater for the fourth week of the Live Stream Vaccine: The Entertainment Cure.
La Marcha and Rod R and Nu Standard performed Friday, introducing our first co-headliner performance at the Fox Theater.
La Marcha is a high-energy variety dance band that performs a mix of well-known covers and provocative originals in both Spanish and English. The lively concert was one to make you get up and dance, even while watching from home.
Rod P and Nu Standard was founded by Rodrick Pleasants in the winter of 2016 with the vision of being a band authentically fluent in multiple genres of music ranging from Jazz, R&B, Neo Soul, Gospel, and Fusion.
The Live Stream Vaccine: The Entertainment Cure is sponsored by Visit Bakersfield, and brought to you by 23ABC and the Historic Bakersfield Fox Theater.
