President Donald Trump will delivered an address on Tuesday to America focused on the merits of building a wall along America's southern border. The address is expected to last eight minutes.

Immediately following Trump's statement, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer delivered an opposition rebuttal on behalf of Democrats in Congress.

The duel statements come in the midst of the second-longest government shutdown in U.S. history. The shutdown has been fueled by a disagreement between Trump and Congressional Democrats on funding the wall. Trump has requested more than $5 billion in funding for the project.
