Starting Monday you'll need a mask if you're planning to shop at a list of retailers. Walmart is now requiring all customers to wear a face-covering at its namesake stores nationwide. The new policy also applies to all of its Sam's Club stores.
About 65-percent of its stores in the country already had a mask mandate in place due to state government orders. CVS, Walgreens, Kohl's, Lowes and BJ's also have new mask policies that take effect today. Kroger joins the list starting on Wednesday and Target at the start of August.
Aldi says it will require customers to wear face masks starting July 27. Employees already wear them. In an announcement on its website, Aldi said it's following CDC recommendations.
The grocery chain says customers can also opt for delivery or curbside pickup in some locations.
Delta says it will enforce its mask requirement more strictly starting Monday. It says people who can't cover their faces for medical reasons should consider staying home. If they do want to fly Delta will require those passengers to complete a phone health screening first.
Delta will use the results to determine if a given traveler can board its aircraft without a mask.
