WASHINGTON (AP) — House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy met with other Republican leaders on Tuesday to discuss how to handle a bipartisan outcry over Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene said she endorsed some conspiracy theories of violent, racist views.
Both Republican leaders spent about 90 minutes discussing the issue in his Capitol office, according to their assistants.
This session came as the GOP faced unrest from opposing ends of the party’s spectrum over Greene and Rep. Liz Cheney, whom far-right lawmakers want to remove her from her position after she voted to impeach former President Donald Trump.
