MINNEAPOLIS — The Judge in the trial of Derek Chauvin has granted a motion that would reinstate a third degree murder charge against Chauvin for the death of George Floyd.

Chauvin now faces three charges in the case. Those charges include Second degree murder and Manslaughter.

The court is currently in the process of selecting jurors. Opening statements will begin on March 29.
