WASHINGTON, D.C. (KERO) — The Department of Homeland Security says COVID-19 vaccination sites will be safe from immigration officers.

Vaccination sites will be considered "sensitive locations" and arrests will only be made under "extraordinary circumstances."

In a statement, DHS said it's encouraging everyone to receive the vaccine when they're eligible regardless of immigration status.

And according to ABC News President Joe Biden is set to sign three more executive orders aimed at reforming the U.S. immigration system including creating a task force aimed at reuniting children who were separated from their families on the border.
