ARVIN, Calif. — Grimmway Academy in Arvin and Shafter, are the latest schools to follow direction from the Kern County Superintendent of Schools. The school announced that both schools will close beginning Wednesday, March 18th until April 14th.
Grimmway Academy stated they will still provide distance instruction, meals and limited child-care during the temporary closures.
"As a school of choice, we understand and respect your educational decisions as parents. While school is open tomorrow and Tuesday, we respect the decisions you have to make in regards to ensuring the health of your family and loved ones. If you will continue to bring your children to school, we will ensure that the preventative steps outlined in the previous message sent this evening are still in place," according to a statement from Grimmway Academy.
Both Grimmway schools will still be open Monday and Tuesday, with a 1:10 p.m. dismissal on both days.
The school said more information will be provided tomorrow regarding logistics.
