World Spay Day at the Kern County Animal Services

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Next Tuesday, February 26 is World Spay Day at Kern County Animal Services on Fruitvale Avenue in Northwest Bakersfield.

No matter where you live, if you have a dog or a cat you can get your pet spayed at an affordable price from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

County residents can get their cats and pit bulls fixed for free and all other dogs can get fixed for $10.

You must have proof of your address and income to qualify, friendly cats must be in a carrier and feral cats must be in a trap on the day of the surgery.
