DaVita Kidney Care hosted a workshop Tuesday to help prepare those around Kern County for when disaster strikes.

The company wanted to make sure dialysis patients in the county will be taken care of in emergency situations.

The workshop walked through a three-step design process to help solve challenges and be better prepared to act.
