BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Walmart announced Tuesday they will be offering employees $9 gym memberships, per paycheck, to participating gyms as part of their 2020 health benefits.
Walmart is teaming up with Trivity Health to offer associates Trivity’s Prime Fitness program, which gives Walmart employees access to Trivity’s network of more than 9,000 participating fitness centers nationwide.
In the Bakersfield area, participating gyms include Planet Fitness, Sculpt 365 and more.
There are no contracts and no enrollment fees. Walmart is making this available to all its full-time, part-time and temporary associates. The goal is simply to remove barriers to fitness and provide a path to wellness.
