BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — More than 100 people gathered in East Bakersfield at about 6 p.m. Sunday to honor the 13-year-old Bakersfield girl who was kidnapped, raped and killed on July 2nd.

The vigil would mark one of several organized for Patricia Alatorre, since 24-year-old Inglewood resident Armando Cruz was arrested for her murder Sunday night.

Alatorre's friends told 23ABC News that she loved cars. So on Sunday, engines revved their way from the sports complex to her neighborhood near Hosking Avenue and Wible Road, where another vigil is set to take place.
