BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — It will be another two months before the two men charged in the killing of 5-year-old Kason Guyton will go to trial.
On Monday a judge continued the trial for Jeremy King and Jonathan Knight until Feb. 16, 2021. A readiness hearing is set for Feb. 5.
King and Knight are both charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
In 2017, Guyton was shot and killed while riding in the back seat of a car alongside his 7-year-old brother on February 23, 2017. Kason's brother, BJ, was also hit by bullets and survived.
