Thousands expected at 12th annual Bakersfield Comic-Con

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 12th annual Bakersfield Comic-Con is taking place this weekend at the Kern County Fair.

The event will feature discussion panels, about 100 vendors, and special guests including John Wesley Shipp, who played The Flash in the 1990 CBS series of the same name, as well as Don Most and Anson Williams, who played Ralph and Potsie on Happy Days.

The event opens at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. It closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday, and at 5 p.m. on Friday.

One-day admission is $8, or $15 dollars for both days. Kids ages 8 to 14 are $5 a day or $8 for both days. Children under 8 years old are free. The event is located in buildings 3 and 4 at the fairgrounds, located at 1142 South P Street.

Parking is $5.
