BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Last year the Kern County Fair was canceled due to COVID-19 fears. To help lessen the "pain" of not having the annual fair, the Kern County Fair decided to put on a fair food drive-thru.

"The fair has been a Kern County tradition for over 100 years and it is super hard to think about what a year is without a fair," Chelsey Roberts, facility marketing representative for the Kern County Fair said at the time. "And although we can't have our traditional fair, we still wanted to bring something fun and interactive that people can still do that brings them one of their favorite things about the fair, which is the food."

Now, they are bringing it back. The Kern County Fair will hold another Fair Food Drive-Thru later this month in the South P Street parking lot. It will take place on the weekends between January 22nd and January 31st from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Among the foods you can sample are Sharky's lobster fries, Big Bubbas Bad BBQ giant turkey leg, Rocket Dog giant corn dogs, The Sleek Greek gyros, Sweet Cheeks funnel cakes, Dynamite kettle corn, Old West cinnamon rolls, and much more.

Additional details will be provided when they are available.
