The family is seeking information to lead to arrest of Wendale's killer

Posted

The family of Wendale Davis, who was shot and killed in Southeast Bakersfield in April 2006 at the age of 16, have reinstated their reward of $50,000 for information on his death.

The case has been ruled a cold case by the Bakersfield Police Department.

Wendale's father, Wesley Davis, says the family continues to suffer because they do not know who killed Wendale.

"If they have kids, these guys that did that (killed Wendale), and even those that might be sitting on this information, just think about it," Wesley Davis told 23ABC.

"The Bible says do unto others as you would have them do unto you. So think about it, if it was your own son, what would you want done? Whatever that answer is, that's what I would ask them to do."

The Wendale Davis Foundation is operated by Wesley Davis and helps at risk youth as well as parents who may have lost a child to violence.
