A Tehachapi prison inmate's death is under investigation by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Cody Miller, 25, of Tehachapi was found dead in his cell at the California Correctional Institution at 3:05 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office. An autopsy is scheduled to determine cause and manner of death.
Miller did not have a cell mate assigned to him and the incident is still under investigation, according to CDCR spokesperson Krissi Khokhobashvili.
