A technical issue led to a false report of a tornado warning for Kern County by the National Weather Service's Hanford Office.
According to the National Weather Service's Hanford Office, they were experiencing some internal radio issues. The NWS Hanford Officewas attempting to send a message out to Madera County and Mariposa County manually, however the message was accidentally sent out to all transmitters rather than just the ones in Madera County and Mariposa County.
There is no tornado warning for Kern County. There was a tornado warning for Madera County and Mariposa County, however it expired at 4:15 p.m.
