A local Mexican restaurant is closed after failing a health inspection.
The Kern County Public Health Service released their inspection report stating Super Taco, at 520 East Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield, scored a 51.00% out of 100%.
Officials reported seeing live and dead cock roaches, buckets being used for unsafe food prep and built up debris around the sink, equipment and food prep area. They also saw raw meat stored incorrectly, multiple containers of food products without covers and raw meat stored over cooked meat products in the walk in refrigerator.
The Public Health Department reports Thursday's inspection is the third inspection at Super Taco since February 2018. In the last two inspections Super Taco scored a 96.00% on February 27, 2018 and scored a 95.00% on April 3, 2018.
