BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office and County Fire Department are holding their benefit dinner Thursday. This is the first time the two agencies are holding a joint event.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is also scheduled to be in attendance. The event will honor first responders in our community.
It's happening tomorrow from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m at the Seven Oaks Country Club near Ming Avenue and Buena Vista Road.
The event is already sold out. All money raised goes toward local charities for first responders and veterans.
