BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Marie Callender's location on California Ave. will be closing according to restaurant management.
Assistant Manager Victor Larios says the restaurant will close on August 11, however there's a possibility the restaurant could be bought out. He says about 50 employees have received notice.
This comes after the parent company, Perkins & Marie Callender’s Holding LLC, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announced plans to sell of most of it's assets.
The other Bakersfield Marie Callender's located at 2631 Oswell St. has permanently closed.
