SBDC webinar to provide details on California’s four-tier business reopening system Sept. 2

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield will host a free webinar detailing California’s new four-tier system for reopening businesses, plus the latest on SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program forgiveness on Wednesday.

“Managing Your Small Business through the Pandemic” will be online from noon to 1 p.m.

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will provide updated guidance on the PPP forgiveness process.

Beardon will be joined by two special guests: Brynn Carrigan, assistant director for Kern County Public Health, who will discuss California’s color-coded framework for reopening and its effects on businesses; and Jay Tamsi, president and CEO of the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, who will talk about actions being taken in the COVID fight and what his small business membership is experiencing.

Questions from attendees will be taken.

The SBDC is open for free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners.
