It has been almost exactly one year since the City of Ridgecrest and surrounding areas were rocked by the 6.4 and 7.1 magnitude earthquakes.
The 6.4 quake surfaced on the 4th of July, followed by a 7.1 tremor the next day.
The twin quakes would be the biggest to hit California in two decades. Seismologists said the 7.1 temblor that struck on July 5 was ten times stronger than the 6.4 foreshock the day before. It was felt by approximately 30 million people in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Mexico.
