RIDGECREST, Calif. — According to Ridgecrest Police Chief Jed McLaughlin the Ridgecrest Cinemas’ roof collapsed following Friday’s 7.1 magnitude earthquake.

Officials say the collapsed roof is among 45 other properties inspectors have red tagged, which are no longer safe to occupy.

McLaughlin says these are just preliminary numbers and that there may be hundreds if not thousands of inspections left depending on requests.
