BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The lawsuit filed on behalf of nearly three dozen local restaurants against Governor Gavin News will be back in court next week.
Attorney Thomas Anton said four doctors will give their opinion that the state ignored the CDC's findings that outdoor dining "carries only a moderate risk."
Anton is seeking a permanent injunction order forcing Governor Newsom and the state department of public health to cease enforcement against businesses until a thorough risk-benefit analysis is conducted and approved by the court.
A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m.
