A man's body has been found in the backyard of a home in Southwest Bakersfield.
On January 23, 2019, at about 7:45 a.m., the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a residence in the 6200 block of Hathaway Avenue, where possible human remains had been located in a rear yard.
When detectives arrived, they located the body of a deceased man.
The case is now being investigated as a suspicious death. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending confirmation by the Coroner.
The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made.
