BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — You can take part in welcoming home a group of World War II and Korean War veterans that are part of Honor Flight 40 that left Bakersfield Thursday morning.

The veterans are in Washington, D.C. right now where they will visit memorials throughout the city. They will be returning home Saturday night at Meadows Field Airport. Their flight is expected to arrive back around 9 p.m.

The public is invited to help welcome the veterans home with signs, posters, and of course cheers. Parking is free and you can follow the signs at the entrance to their terminal.
