Public Health: More than half of Kern County's COVID-19 deaths have come from Kingston Healthcare

The number of people infected with COVID-19 at the Kingston Healthcare Center continues to grow with more than half of Kern County's deaths coming from the facility.

According to the county, 15 of Kern County's coronavirus-related deaths have come from skilled nursing facilities. Of those deaths, 14 are from Kingston and 1 is from the Orchards Post-Acute facility.

On Thursday, Kern County Public Health reported 130 residents and workers at Kingston have tested positive for COVID-19.

In Kern County, 25 people total have died from COVID-19.

Public Health says 77 residents and 53 workers have tested positive for COVID-19 at Kingston.

Public Health also said 18 residents and 16 workers have tested positive for COVID-19 at Valley Convalescent.
