BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County has seen the highest number of Valley Fever cases since 1992, according to Kern Public Health.
Public Health says 2,937 Kern County residents were diagnosed with Valley Fever in 2018, a 7% increase since 2017. Six people died of Valley Fever in 2018.
Public Health says this is the 4th consecutive year of increased Valley Fever cases.
Kern Public Health says 2018 saw the highest number of Valley Fever cases since 1992.
