Demolition work will require the closure of portions of Highway 99 and lane re-striping will cause the closure of portions of Wible Road on Sunday and Monday, as well as next Thursday.
On Sunday, the contractor will be working on the existing westbound State Route 58 bridge across State Route 99. The bridge will be widened for the Centennial Corridor, requiring the demolition of the existing barrier rail. Alternating lane closures will occur on State Route 99 while crews work on the above bridge. The freeway closures will impact northbound and southbound traffic, but at least one lane in each direction will remain open.
On Monday night, crews will re-stripe Wible Road between Stockdale Highway and the northbound State Route 99 on-ramp from Wible Road. Northbound State Route 99 will also be restriped between State Route 58 and the northbound on-ramp on Monday night. Alternating lane closures will occur on both Wible Road and the freeway while the work is underway, but at least one lane will remain open to traffic.
On Thursday night, the contractor will need to place temporary concrete barrier rail along both sides of Wible Road between Stockdale Highway and the northbound State Route 99 on-ramp. Flagging personnel may need to stop traffic for up to 15 minutes at a time while this work is underway, affecting both directions of travel. Motorists are advised to select an alternate route or allow extra time to reach their destinations.
