It's been over two years since Tessie Mangohig, 66, wasreported missing from Delano.

Because of her Alzheimer's disease, authorities believe she may not understand she has loved ones looking for her.

“Makes me believe more that she is out there probably living her life normally," said Sgt. Mario Nunez. "Probably doesn’t understand because of her medical condition that she is a missing person.”

Tessie was first reported missing on April 29, 2016.

In the days following her initial disappearance, large search parties walked through fields and along highways in hopes of tracking her down.

Since then, investigators say there have been 150 sightings of Mangohig reported throughout Kern County and beyond.

“With so much time that’s passed you would think that people would lose interest." said Mangohig's daughter Luzianne Fernandez. "But to see that people are still calling in tips and messaging us...we are still hopeful.”

Mangohig is described as an elderly, Filipino, four feet, eleven inches tall and around 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and khaki colored pants

If you see Tessie Mangohig you're asked to stay with her or keep her in sight and contact 911 or the Delano Police Department at 661-721-3369.
